clarification on measurements

after some help with  brouchure measurements lads

i know that wheelbase measurements are center of front axel to center of rear axel, but are track measurements end of axel to end of axel, or edge of tyres /wheels fitted to the axels??? need to work something out and kind of stuck on this for some reason

Centre of tyres Sean I believe mate  \ - never really given it much thought

To the centre of the tyres on tractors, back when I was a fitter did a lot of PDI work . normal width these days is 72inches from centre to centre

Some brochures have both though Sean... and some I've looked at have the overall width only... so it can get a bit confusing really...

As a general rule of thumb... track width is as discussed above... overall width is outside of wheels mate... take a look at this buddeeeeee..

Thats ok, I think the reason is ...e.g if all the tractors on a farm should be 72inches, by working from the centre of the tyre  all trctors should track the same, no matter what the tyre size. If that makes sense,
