Gav836 Posted December 21, 2005 Posted December 21, 2005 now that nearly brings tears to the eyes seeing it in that sorry condition [ Quote
Pingu Posted December 21, 2005 Posted December 21, 2005 Thats a sad sight someone give me a spanner and a socket set and a few grand and i'll have it done up in no time Quote
MJB1 Posted December 21, 2005 Posted December 21, 2005 maybe we should all chip in to buy a real county for the working day shows around in the summer we could all have a go then :) Quote
Pingu Posted December 21, 2005 Posted December 21, 2005 I'm definatly up for that as i've always liked countys but wait till easter till as i dont start working till then again :D Quote
Gav836 Posted December 21, 2005 Posted December 21, 2005 good idea but who gets to store it and drive it first though......? :D Quote
NewHolland2 Posted December 21, 2005 Posted December 21, 2005 Me, since I'm already Restoring a Fergie...... ;) ;) Quote
MJB1 Posted December 21, 2005 Posted December 21, 2005 i think the implecations of us all owning one is too great & county prices are going through the roof at the moment , however if you see a ford 8100 cheap ,go buy it as they were county tractors also ,they didn't just build 4x4 spec tractors :) good idea but who gets to store it and drive it first though......? :D Andy can split the first bye Quote
Gav836 Posted December 21, 2005 Posted December 21, 2005 looking at auction reports lately, you're not wrong, seems every one wants a county and will pay well over the odds for it too!! Madness! Quote
ihatepoundland Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 Thats not sorry, thats a good honest working tractor i think sometimes its good to see a tractor with a bit of character to represent its history, rather than something that has had it all repainted off and that looks like it just came out of the factory, ready for work, although in its restored condition it'll never see any for fears that a spot of oil may ruin its chances of a concours badge. the other green Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 I humbly put my name forward as the person to store the County. I live in a dry, non-coastal atmosphere and have a shed that is vacant that would fit the bill quite nicely. Any time anyone wants to use it they're welcome to row over and pick it up. Quote
SMurF Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 I know were there is a county 944 which looks worse than that has a porouse block and the head, radiator+rocker ass is missing It's in one of our sheds sitting there doing the same as it has for the last 3 years (rusting) Quote
