LeeRoebuck
Evenin' All Here's the latest conversion to be cleared off the desk of mine. It was chosen by stehos on the forum and was excellent in providing pictures for the project. The base model was a UH 1/16th Fordson power major and was soon stripped back ready. The front wheels were finally made from turned down wheels from a UH ford 5000, the tyres were made from modelling foam on a lathe. The front axle was in the end made up mainly from a cast of a mcdonalds McFlurry spoon handle. This was packed with body filler and the machined down. LeeRoebuck
Paint came from Scaledown models and sets the model off a treat compared to the washed out original colour of the UH model. The rear axle castings were drilled out and fitted with brass tube, this then takes a smaller sized brass tube onto which the rear wheels are mounted. This allows for ease of postage and other rear wheels could be made and easily added to the model. A few little bits to finish and It will then be packaged up and will be winging its way to the netherlands. Cheers Lee
ertlerik
Very nice conversion , how much is the rear wheel spacing in 1/1 scale ? Erik.
LeeRoebuck
Hi erik The spacing is 96 inches which is just under 2.5 metres to the centre of each wheel. I'm sure a few gateways would have been clipped with the addition width. Lee
stehos
Hi Lee, thanks for sharing the pictures with us. Can't wait seeing arrive here and placing it next to the E27N Utility you made last year. Hope you will make more rare tractorconversion in the future. Glad someone makes 1/16th scale conversions. Regards, Jack.
