MASSEY FERGUSON 17 slurry tanker

Recommended Posts

yes, early seventies...balers were also a big thing for mf in the 60,s...70,s and 80,s....and industrial equipment which wasnt built in banner lane..(barton dock road) the 1200,s were built there too...there was so many companies built equipment for mf round that era,im always reading about them and there connections and products they supplied to mf....didnt know weeks ever made a tanker though, thats new to me but hopefully someone will remember where the 17 tanker was built, the vicon i used to use on a 165(203 engine) in the 80,s had the same chassis as the 17 which made them look slightly crude but left them extremely strong as there was no unnecessary strain on the body, the chassis took all the strain, had to be careful spreading on a windy day in the open backed duncan cab on the 165 as you could have been covered in slurry very easily,i remember having to spread one way only to avoid the wind behind, how times have progressed, happy days though
