MJB1
well i'm not happy with it as a 550 now, have looked at it again & think it's probably closer to a 565, as the cab still doesn't sit quite low enough
Lord Ferguson
Does look more 565 marcus... BUT.. then the wheels are too small really even on the 30" option.. they did offer a 28" according to the spec.. but I've never seen one in the flesh I don't think... MF 500 series cabs came in 3 types (of floor) A cab for the 550 only - full hump in floor over gearbox - low cab mounting B cab for the 560 and 565 - partial hump in floor over gearbox - so cab not so low C cab for the 575, 590, 592 and 595 - flat floor... cab mounted higher
Lord Ferguson
and a small point of note... the 550 was the evolution of the 148 and not the 135 as commonly thought... it has the spacer, the .S engine and the MKIII hydraulics... I've just written the 550 buyers guide for Kelsey publishing actually

Lord Ferguson
of course... I suppose with us being all arable we'd only have the 30" and 36" up our way... not many low livestock sheds for us around here \
