archbarch Posted November 9, 2009 Share Posted November 9, 2009 if youre talking about real machines, boom type fert spreaders are more accurate as they only put the fert the width of the boom, they also allow you to work in windy conditions. Disadvantages are cost, higher maintenance and you need to drive more accurately. The best way is go liquid, no storing or handling/dipossing of bags, accuracy and it spreads the cost of the sprayer, plus quicker uptake for the plant.
