Lord Ferguson
Made my first (and won't be many more) recent purchase of a Britains product this week - The MF 130 seed drill. Came in a factory sealed box - when I opened it... No weights - They are clearly depicted on the box as an included item. What I want to know is has anybody else had the same experience with this model Further to this.. If that's Massey red I'm a monkey's uncle Positives - Nice packaging on this model - vacuum formed plastic tray and lid - really good
Gav836
The ones that i bought had the weights with them inside the foot plate tray so i've had no problems with them, maybe you got a Friday afternoon model
Lord Ferguson
Seems that way then Gavin - what about the colour of yours
Gav836
not exactly what i would call MF red either, not quite the right shade to my mind
Lord Ferguson
How come everyone else can manage it but they can't I say - I don't know much about (anything really) plastic colouring but I am sure it's easily achieved if everyone else can do it - they did it back in the 70's - whats changed (apart form advances in technology )
Gav836
Knowing all thes daft rules and regulations these days, the original dye is probably illegal and banned!! :
Lord Ferguson
Yeah - possibilitry I suppose - I didn't think of that Gavin
Gav836
Guess you'll have to get your can of MF red spray paint out
MJB1
your drill too dark marky ? & as for the weights i dont think they were included in the later models ?but still used the original pics i suspect this arguement has been fueled here before ? TM will know whats what as he found it hard to find 2 old MF drills the same shade for another 'cut n shut' drill convo :)
Lord Ferguson
Thanks Marcus... I wasn't aware of this. They should change the packaging if that's the case - buit I'm sure that would have been said before then.
Gav836
only bought my last one about 2-3 years ago and they were still in the box then so it must have been a later model to mine
ValtraFan
I bought an MF130 last year from a toy shop. This one had no weights with it. My original which ive probably had since the late 80's did have weights with it. Unfortunately the weights were lost along time ago
Lord Ferguson
Yeah I had one back in the early 80's - and like you I've lost the weights (Sadly) This has really annoyed me - I feel like getting my money back but I bought it from my local MF dealer so I don't want to give them the hassle of sending it back
NewHolland2
I bought one a couple of years ago in Toy-Master which had no weights. Does anyone have a pic of one with the weights attached?

Tractorman810
they are very hard to match to be honest ,i think it must be down to different batches ect of dye,as i bopught 6 in all at toytrac and still couldn't get a match colour wise??,isn't a problem for me as they are painted over

NIGEL FORD
They were for Direct Drilling as opposed to conventional .Some 130s were equipped with heavier coulters for such.
