2640 2wd prototype

Recommended Posts

ive had a 2640  2wd made and the bloke that did it used a 590 front axle on the fat trailer type tyres and left the original back wheels on and it looks spot on, it looks the part, he made it from a photo taken of the one my dad used to drive. Yours looks fine but the rear wheel centres are to modern in my opinion but then it looks well matched size wise to the fronts so it will turn out a very good model, keep up the good work.

Only real difference was the 188 had an extension piece in the gearbox to make it longer (and a better seat as well) - I will try to find a picture later. All 1*8 series tractors had the same extra casting in the middle to extend the wheelbase - that's the main difference.
