stapelopfordson
This week I added a nice Fordson N brochure from the USA to my collection. I found also a rather rare Perkins L4 conversion manual for the Fordson E27N on a dutch market place for a very nice price. I think I have completed the Perkins Fordson conversion manuals, P6(TA), L4(TA) and the P3(TA) or are there any more versions? @Wil, nice brochures from Jeff Funny to see that his collection has been divided over three dutch collectors (as far as I know)
FordTractorCrazy
thanks Ronald! , you rarely see that many of the more rare brochures on ebay, and definately not get a chance to pick them out before they end up on ebay. So was very happy with the opportunity.. still half of what i bought from him, has to arrive. The first batch did arrive though and as it were the brochures i picked from his list, they are all very nice. I wont be placing them all on here, but a small peak of what landed in my mailbox: - 5x Fordson (Super/Power) Major (4x USA, 1x Canadian) about 1956-1961 - Ford 4040 industrial tractor (1961, USA) - Ford Workmaster tractors (601/701 series, 1959 , USA) - Ford powermaster tractors (801/901 series, 1958, USA)

FordTractorCrazy
thanks Mark, it is however only a small part of the total haul.. the more interesting for you, i expected to arrive this past week, however didnt, so hope it arrives this coming week.. another few brochures from the ones that arrived are: - Ford Dearborn Forage Harvester (1953 USA) - Ford Forage Harvester (1959 USA) - Ford 7ft Combine (1957 USA) - Ford 642 Combine (I believe this is a Claas Dominator in Ford colours?) (1975 USA)
Lord Ferguson
Well folks.. although I've not been scanning much lately... I've still been buying... mostly oddball stuff.... here's a sample... This I believe to be quite rare...
Lord Ferguson
this is interesting... the American launch of the platform versions on the 2000 series.. And I had this new in 1979... but somehow I've LOST it :of .. so I had to buy it again Some nice old French brochures... lots more to come in the post as well... Lord Ferguson
Bit more American... This is for the MF450D tracked 360 German 130 and 135 vineyards This is interesting... and appears to be a bit of a one off for the time... MF didn't seem to do 'artists impressions' in their brochures like this
Lord Ferguson
Nothing more really interesting in all honesty... but it all adds to the collection I've found yet another version of the MF19 I'd not seen before... that's 5 or so versions now that I have.. That's it for tonight... althlough I've still got a full folder or two left to scan ... not quite at 2,000 pieces yet
NewHolland2
More nice additions there Marky.......Really like the brochure for the big 4800 artics, and that American swathing scene is quite something
Lord Ferguson
thanks Mart... I agree... that American Swathing picture really caught my eye too - I'd not seen that brochure before now either - any new additions to your collection lately Mart
MJB1
interesting MF 19 spreader info mark , i assume they were american versions as the rated capacity is in bushels ! which i thought would only apply on combines & grain trailers
Lord Ferguson
Interesting question Marcus... one I'd not given much thought too in the past... I've had a look now and they all quote bushel and tonnage... with the emphasis on bushel rather than tonnage. I suppose it makes sense as bushel is a volume and not a set weight really \ er.... I think :D

Lord Ferguson
I think so mate... I've since googled an imperial bushel... and it is, indeed a measurement of volume... in fact, it's a little over 36 litres. Google says it's an imperial measurement used for the volume of dry goods
FordTractorCrazy
very familiar term, those bushel measurements. Many of the pre-1960 brochures i have got about combines, corn pickers and spreaders use that type of specification for volume... Do like the old baler brochure, what year is it? i also haven't seen a double swather before. The swathers are mostly self-propelled and if you ever travel somewhere in the north-west of the US, you will only see those swathing, and not the pull-type versions... very nice set of brochures! I am still busy scanning the load of brochures that arrived here in the past weeks (about 70 mostly oldies) the last of the first batch, the second batch arrived last week which held a couple of WWII and earlier and Ford Ferguson brochures.. - Ford Goes Big (6000 + implements) - USA 1961 - new-size Fords (2000-6000) - USA 1964 - 2-plow new-size Ford 2000 - USA 1964 - Ford 2000 - USA 1967
FordTractorCrazy
- New Ford 7000 - USA 1971 - Ford 8000-9000 - USA 1969 - New Ford 8600 - USA 1973 - Ford 4000 Heavy Duty Fork Lift - USA 1961
Lord Ferguson
Thanks Will... the 801 is 1958 and the 802 is 1963 buddy... you've also got some lovely items there.. you must have one hell of a collection now mate .. how many pieces do you reckon you have
FordTractorCrazy
i am far behind with my brochure collection compared to other Ford / New Holland collector's on here like "StapelopFordson" and "Stehos" , then again, i have only started collecting brochures 3 years ago and have now a little more then 1200 brochures in my collection... do you have the following brochures: the Ferguson Tiller B-20 & 9 BO-20 (1947) and the Ferguson Side-Delivery Rake (1949)

FordTractorCrazy
no idea how many are out there worldwide.. over 3000 i think... but 5000 would be possible too. The US code system that was used from 1947 up to the 80's with Ford brochures, suggests 9000! brochures, but that is not likely though i have two of the tiller brochure, a better one than the one pictured below... i can take them with me to Spalding if you'd like?
Lord Ferguson
Oooo I'd like the tiller one Will.. Now I've seen the side delivery rake... I think I have it already ... 5000 sounds like a hell of a lot... but I think it's the same for MF stuff.... I reckon there must be a good 10,000 plus if you take brochures from all territories

Lord Ferguson
that's the spirit mate.... get spending Few more scanned tonight... That stands for 'Grassland Special' (thanks Google translate) This is interesting... it's a salesmans comparison guide for the big Artics v all the competition at the time... check out the clay spade :D
Lord Ferguson
I paid waaaay too much for these two.. but they are pretty rare I do believe... Export brochures going by the codes... 230 Launch brochure... UA of A of course.. German built 100 series models... made by Eicher... This one is pretty mundane... but one I didn't have never the less...
