roberthenning
Have any of you bought the Ros New Holland TX66 combine, im trying to recreate a harvesting scene and would prefer to use a combine from the 90s period and most contractors around here are using 80-90s new hollandds. My delema is weather to buy the Ros TX66 New holland as they are quiet easy to get a hold of, but what is the quality like with them. Or the other option it to try and source the jada toys 8060 which seem to be like hens teeth and add detail maybe convert to a TC56. So do the ros combines come with good detail or will alot of modification be necessary? Thanks in advance Robert
COWBOY
I have the tx66. very good combine for the money, would not take long or much money to modify it either.
Udimore
I own both and they do not compare in my view the TX wins everytime
MATTY 7530
The 8060 is the wrong colour for a start, but the TX66 i converted turned out in2 a real beauty its on the forum here somewhere.
roberthenning
thanks, looks like itll be the tx then, if its going to be the nicer model, dont like the thought of spending alot on a model then having to completely butcher the thing, ill do a search for yours matty for some inspiration

Deere-est
The JADI New Holland in my opinion is a beauty. I have some and although plasticy it's a great little model. Britains should have made one back in the day. Has all the functions, header with ground drive, unloading auger, opening grain tank, steering. Britainsfan did a paint and decal job on his and it turned very good. It is also posted on here somewhere.
roberthenning
the tx66 is a lovely combine but i do like the 8060 combine best in real life as its the one that the contractor i used to work for had along with a tc56, and have no fear of stripping and spraying it. just i cant seem to find any and even if one will come up could be mental money. i might try scratch building a tc56 or wait and get a 8060 if i see one cheap enough
