B O R
I bought my 7499 on tuesday past and spent a day modifying it...ive replaced the wheels, and there now sprayed in genuine MF sapphire silver as i checked this with my local MF dealer..flared the mudgaurds of course and added gps,the doors now open and the roof hatch is also open....trouble getting a good red colour match but ended up settling for Ford radiant red on WHITE primer after trying many different reds including genuine mf red

B O R
couple of critiscisms with the standard model...the non flared mudgaurds, the non genuine mf wheel and roof colour, the non genuine grey chassis and the bonnet,i have sprayed my front weight in genuine MF stoneleigh grey and you can see that the chassis is slightly darker indicating a non genuine grey, i really think the BONNET is about 2mm too long..but the model is extremely well built and has some very intricate detail...Getting the cab apart was a tricky job and involved heating up a cutting knife and slicing through the headcloth, not as handy to dismantle as the 5480 but UH has done a really good job here, just beats me how the model didnt come with flared mudgaurds and proper colour rims
Fendthead
Now I realy like that, very nice work...now going to rush out and get one so I can have one like that on the shelf, It's not a fendt, but hell It's from the same family these days. May i ask what wheels have been fitted?
Paul Palmer
stunning work again bor,i would like to know what the wheels and tyres are from and which fendt are the mudguards off? paul
Martijn_MF
I've a question about the collour: I had the same idea as you too, but i concluded the original mf red is lighter than the paint of the UH's mf! How did you solve this problem with the paint? very nice tractor!
masseyjack590
nice work made a very good model perfect
Lord Ferguson
Some nice improvments Brian... On the subject of paint... both the MF red and the MF grey are different to the older 'super red' and 'Stonleigh Grey' .. MF changed to these new colours during mid to late 2008... Your MF dealer should stock these new colours which are simply titled 'MF 50th red' and 'MF 50th Grey' respectively. If you are trying to match MF super red with this new colour then that's why you can't get a match I reckon chaps \
Tractorman810
what rims are you running then brian?? they do seem to beef her up, seems that everyones trying to get the wheel size right of late ,
B O R
the wheels are froma valtra from siku....a few modifications are required and the rear wheel centres have to be made...mudgaurds are from a siku fendt 718....i have noted from the 64/74 brochure that to comply with 50kph regulations the front mudgaurds must be a certain width in relation to the tyres fitted...
