Johny mf
Well as the topic name say's The model UH deliverd had wrong chasis colour and wrong rim colour. So i thook the model apart and spraypainted the chasis in the original MF 3000 serie´s brown/grey! Also did the rims in the good colour! Here the result! First whit the original wheels and next the original UH MF 3080 And next to the other 3080 whit Robert Peeters wheels only the MF 3080 on Robert Peeters wheels

roberthenning
Looking well, was wanting to get one of these for the first massey in my collection, but wasnt really fussed on the standard wheels, but painting them the right colour really does turn a nice model into a really nice model

Johny mf
Thanks Reqen, glad you like it The bonnet is all red so you don´t have to paint that The chasis i realy easy to paint it in the good colours I think whitout drying time of the paint it takes about an hour to do the job! bluegreen
Well done Jonny MF, EXCELLENT WORK, it does show how much improvement can be made to a models authenticity and detail by simply painting parts of the model with the right colours ,particuarly the wheels. It never ceases to surprise me how many model buyers and conversionists have NO eye for detail which is certainly NOT the case on this fine 3080 model
Johny mf
Well done Jonny MF, EXCELLENT WORK, it does show how much improvement can be made to a models authenticity and detail by simply painting parts of the model with the right colours ,particuarly the wheels. It never ceases to surprise me how many model buyers and conversionists have NO eye for detail which is certainly NOT the case on this fine 3080 model Thanks for the compliment (sorry for my late respond!) Some times when i look at the models of UH i think damn why do they make the colours wrong :'( But after take the model in parts and respraying it and put it back together it is so much better! If i look at the 7499 and 8690 as example's the rims are completly the wrong colour! I also heard of a coleage builder MF self gifs wrong paint if you order for some type of tractor! Like the 8280 they give silver wheelpaint and it is more white/grey then silver! But i think it is good so whe have still something to do Regards Johny

Johny mf
Well after a long time i decidet to add a front linkage to the 3080 whit spraying wheels, and now i only need to chainge the decal to a 3120. then this one is finished. I also painted some details like the red toolbox and the red triangle and the white filter on the right side of the tractor. Also did the bolds on the wheels in Messing colour. Here the result: Some field photo´s are on the way!
