I store all mine in the loft too and touch wood but  I have never have seen amy "corrosion" like that but I must check my Forest Enterprise landrover to see. I ensure my loft is never cold by leaving the hatch open so there is always a supply of warmer air getting upstairs.

I have just noticed the Iveco Flatbed lorry has the Magirus Deutz logo on its front grill and not Iveco, was this normal, or is it a one off ?.

That was the normal grille decal for the earlier ones - I don't think I have seen a flatbed version of the lorry with the later 'IVECO' decal, which I think may have been introduced in 1985 (9582 was deleted at the end of 1984).

The corrosion/fatigue looks a bit nasty - it may well be due to an impurity already in the mazak when the model was made, and possibly damp and the extremes of temperature that it would have experienced in the loft have made it worse??

I have finally got around to photographing box no 2.So here goes.

9529 Massey Ferguson 135 in Sleeve and Plinth box. According to David Pullens book i have a 1973 tractor in a 1968-69 box which is a bit disappointing, my tractor has the external steering linkage. but i did buy this some 15years ago or so , when there was not so much information around or any reference books of any great detail to refer to.The box i have also appears to have been made up from 2 as the Sleeve has a price on of 12 shillings and sixpence and also 62 1\2 pence, and the Plinth box has a price on of 11 shillings and 11 pence.

9515 Volvo BM Valmet 805. Banded box 1989. This model has the Engine noise lever fitted which was deleted for the 1989 model, so may have been produced on the change over.
