We're just in the process of having feed barrier made (so they'll be suitable for 1:32 scale scratch-built barns). Would really appreciate your thoughts on what size they should be. Thanks :)

Most buildings Mandy are 20ft bays nowadays, there will of course be some that are larger or smaller. Barriers of 20ft would need a centre leg though to anchor them to the floor so as not to bend too much with the cattle pushing against them. Or make them 10ft and us barn builders can put an RSJ inbetween  ;):)

Excellent idea coming through anyway, Mandy.  :)

I make & weld these barriers alot in my line of work  & Cow Pow Barriers for O DONOVAN Enginnering LTD. The standard fixed barriers are 4.6m long & 900 mm high for the ones that sit on top of a low wall. A gate style one is usully 1.2m high & lenght wise ,its made to suit the entrance . Usully between 4 & 5 m long. Distance between the diagonals is about 300mm. www.odonovaneng.ie
