Paul Palmer Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 okay good base for the model, but quite a bit to do,put on the right mirror fixings, the reel looks hidious so thats going, wheels and tyres will be changed and the cab grab rails will be painted the correct colour and add a fire extinguisher, and remove the steering thingy from on top of the engine, and finally opening grain tank lids and add warning decals
Paul Palmer Posted July 29, 2011 Author Posted July 29, 2011 bits coming together allready, thanks to cx880joe for a reel off a britains cx combine, and ive found the ideal front wheels and tyres off a uh claas arion 640,pity about the rears ,the arion 640 fronts a tad to big for the cerea rear
Light Land Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 It's not to bad a model realy like you say Paul.
CX820Joe Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 happy to help it will look better with those new front wheels - the back ones aren;t so bad, but too narrow I reckon. Making me feel as though I should return to my own convo projects!

Paul Palmer Posted July 29, 2011 Author Posted July 29, 2011 happy to help it will look better with those new front wheels - the back ones aren;t so bad, but too narrow I reckon. Paul Palmer Posted July 31, 2011 Author Posted July 31, 2011 a light start to the cerea, axles popped out and tried the uh arion wheels, there spot on,have to be painted silver mist, took out the horrible steering knob on top of the engine, and removed the c**p siku reel, kindly cx880 joe has donated a britains cx reel, thanks joe, when that arrives that will be put on,and thanks to barry and catkom for some info,a new pair of rear wheels and tyres from artisan, again will have to be painted silver mist, enough chat, some pictures
Paul Palmer Posted July 31, 2011 Author Posted July 31, 2011 here's the artisan wheels and tyres ive ordered for the rear sets, spraying the front wheels,i will allow the wheels to dry and harden off for a few days before i put the tyres back on

Paul Palmer Posted August 2, 2011 Author Posted August 2, 2011 little bit more done today,2 coats on the wheel nuts, one coat on the wheel centre, also painted this bit on the combine,i dont evan know what it is,anybody tell me,one advantage of being a painter and decorator, there was no way i was going to buy genuine mf paint for that small area,so mixed it myself, not a bad match
Tractorman810 Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 guessing it would be the bottom of the elevator that takes the grain either to the tank or back into the sieve areas, although i am not sure more modern combines have that feature ,i know old ones always have 2 , one for each bit
masseyjack590 Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 grain elevator or the returns elevator either way it takes threshed grain to the tank
