painting plastic handrails

If I painted the plastic handrails on my JD combine do you think that would make them look less plastickey?  Although I like the model, I don't think I've ever known so many different shades of green on a model!

is it just the handrails that are a different shade,or more bits,if its a lot of different shades,id spray the whole thing joe

Maybe a total respray is the route to go....well they say there are 40 shades of green ;)
