B O R Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 having previously built myself a howard 80" rotavator i always fancied another 1 or 2 so the blades i use in pictures below are brass etched and i can only buy a sheet which contains enough for 13 models,so i built a batch of 13 howard rotavators from the sheet........each model took me 14 hours from start to finish and every part was custom built by myself except the blades.........i have 4 remaining rotavtors for sale which are 1x 100"( SOLD) 2 x 80" and 1x 70"(SOLD) Quote
B O R Posted August 18, 2011 Author Posted August 18, 2011 3 x 120" were made...1 for myself and other 2 were sold a while ago before they were built Quote
B O R Posted August 18, 2011 Author Posted August 18, 2011 these are the models i have for sale....1 x 702 2 x 80" and 1 x 100" (SOLD) price is £150 each Quote
B O R Posted August 18, 2011 Author Posted August 18, 2011 100" i dont know if many have tried making a rotavator but there is a hell of a lot of work in them and my time added up and divided by 13 came to 13 hours each machine.....if i was to do one as a one off itd probably work out about £190 but i was able to spread the cost over them all and keep 2 aside for myself and sell the others at £150 Quote
B O R Posted August 18, 2011 Author Posted August 18, 2011 then moving on to a 80" on a ford 7810 Quote
B O R Posted August 18, 2011 Author Posted August 18, 2011 the 2 im keeping are a 70" to go on my scaledown mf 65...and a 120" to go on my weise fendt 515c......i have also a 80" howard and a dowdeswell 120" so ive now enough rotavators Quote
B O R Posted August 18, 2011 Author Posted August 18, 2011 70" versions had a wheel at one side and a skid at the other Quote
B O R Posted August 18, 2011 Author Posted August 18, 2011 the surprising thing about these are that i made them in germany...ive recently been working in germany and in my spare time i began making the 13 howards,i got well on with them and then took them home and completed them in Ireland.....so there half german half irish................all rotavaotrs have an adjustable driveshaft to suit most tractors Quote
