Deere-est's Bits n Bobs

Deere-est

Question

Well here is what I was up to over the weekend, with a sheet of 0.8mm ply and some square dowl you can do endless little bits and bobs for your farm yard. Here are a few disposably type pallets, the sort you see down the builders merchants.

Here is what you need 3mm dowel not shown. A measuring tape, a straight edge, a craft knife and of course the madatory 0.8mm ply for the pallet planks. I cut them 4mm wide.

Use two planks to glue the dowel at the required distance, making sure it is square with one plant at either end. Then work your way from one end to the other, my spacings are a shade under 2mm.

Don't you just like the way that a lot of us are progressing beyond the tractor/implement side of our hobby into other realms of 1/32 too make our dioramas more realistic

Well done for this all partisipants

Nice job Deere-est looks the part for a workshop

Our hobby intrerests are moveing on in leaps and bounds since I first started out on this forum and its a very encouraging thing to behold

Thanks Scott, the better pics on Tuesday which I hope to take will show the paint detail a bit better I hope. Couldn't agree with you more on the diverse models and layouts we are seeing.

Well given most of the pieces were loose and not identifiable by there part numbers along with pretty vague instructions I am pretty happy the way they have turned out. I have some left over parts but I'm not too bothered really, these have the right effect, the colours look good and as you don't see these sets around too much, who is the wiser? The camera is just having a charge now so I'll pop the pics of th pillar drill and the workbench up sortly. It does make you squint something chrinic working on all these little pieces and yes, for my clumbersome hands you end up with your fingers glued to the board, door handle, stair rail and pretty well anything you touch. TIP do not go to the loo while making these sets!!  :D :D :D :D :D :D

I'll have to do it tomorrow or during the week mate as I have to go now. Yep thats the Italeri set I think. For the gas bottle I used red oxide mixed with gloss red and it came out burgandy-ish so that was good enough for me. The nib is single regulator valve but painted silver and stuck on the TM810 wire it looks spot on for the cuting nib!!  :)

Graham, do you scratch build your bit's and bobs or are you using sets from the 1/35 military sets?

Yeah Sean that wire will go all round this layout in various places, added a brake hose to the green bale trailer now too. ideal for everything isn't it?!
