jdman Posted November 7, 2011 Share Posted November 7, 2011 (edited) Hello everyone been a long time since i was activiatly involved in this forum so time to get posting ive been working on this farm the past year it is situated 3 miles from the west cork town of dunmanway here are some of the farm stats. · Owned by the Kelleher Family. · 185 acres with a further 150 between an out farm and rented land. · 48 Milking cows, 85 beef cattle, 90 acres of the finest quality spring barley,8 acres of fodder beet and 12 acres of winter wheat. · Currently the farm has a whitehead bull. · There is also a sideline business of contracting mainly spreading slurry and dung and silage bailing. · We have a keen interest in vintages with a fully restored ford 5000 pre force and a MK1 ford escort RS2000 which were recently shown at the mountbellew vintage weekend. · The current tractor fleet is as follows: 1964 super major, 1975 ford 5000, 1976 ford 6600, 1984 ford 7610 2wd, 1989 ford 7810 series 3, 1998 New Holland 7740, 01 John deere 6410, 03 john deere 6420 and a 1998 jcb 414. · Local contractor Duggans contractors are called in to carry out any work that the farm is not able to do themselves as well as another contractor friend. now for some pictures. silage 2011 the yard the super major scraping the yard and the 7600 in the backroung weathered 7600 barley field Edited February 14, 2012 by jdman Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
