Barry
Whats the difference between a 20B and a 20E? I ask because UH are doing the 20B as a limited run (quantity yet to be announced) DBP did the 20E as a limited run of 50.
Lord Ferguson
20B... early model.. cabcraft cab based on MF240 20E.. later model GKN Sankey cab based on MF250 .. also available with Lambourne cab too I believe this run is limited to 2,000 pieces .. a bit more than Dave's 50 .. one of which I am proud to say resides in my collection

Lord Ferguson
Your a wealth of usless knowledge that I can always rely on Sir! :D .. indeed... I may not be the sharpest tool in the box... but you can rely on old Marky in the useless knowledge department :D
dalethecaptain
Not useless knowledge at all, I have been working on a Sankey style cab as I have long wanted to make at 20 series industrial, Your pictures have just settled a few issues I was having! I had planned to convert the 240, but seen as its now coming in yellow it has saved me some work. Better get to work on that Hydrovane for the back end then.... ploughmaster
I sincerely hope the model won't be released with the front wheels splayed out like that one in the OP!!!!!
Lord Ferguson
I sincerely hope the model won't be released with the front wheels splayed out like that one in the OP!!!!! Sadly they all look like that... case of new kingpin bushes I think.... Most UH models look like a giraffe taking a drink anyway :'(
stehos
I believe this run is limited to 2,000 pieces .. a bit more than Dave's 50 .. one of which I am proud to say resides in my collection Mark, can you make a review of both models when the UH one will be in your collection . This to get more to know about the build quality of UH models compared to the DBP ones (as per discussion on this matter in another topic). Lord Ferguson
I'd be pleased to do so Jack ,, I've been promised a free one from UH as well
dalethecaptain
Thanks Captain... I'm pleased to be of service... you make an old man feel very useful... unlike nasty Barry any good buddy... Cheers! You posted the lower picture before and I have made some plans and acquired donor bits, its most definitely moving up the to do list Just out of interest, what was the MF20D based on originally (chassis and engine type)? I still want one of these and might attack that first seen as UH have offered the MF20B.
An Interested Spectator
Must admit a soft spot for the yellow MF's.
Lord Ferguson
Dale... 20D was originally based upon an MF550 skid unit... Early model.. Post 1979 model Later models (cabless at least..) appear to have been MF240's.. much like the 20B actually... This one is sporting the optional industrial hard nose... MF-ROB
I Think a UH 590 might just get the chop at Foyle View Farm and be truned into a 20D as there getting a contract with there local council for grass cutting and looking after the councils parks
Lord Ferguson
More like a 30C then in that case Robert

jdc
Nice brochures, Mark. Hopefully the 20D tractors with the wide front tyres do have power steering Am I following correctly; the early ones were 550s - full power steering etc but later were only 240s? I know which I'd choose.
