altrac
Hello everyone, I've been lurking on here for a wee while, but not been bold enough to post any photos or anything because everyone else's stuff seems to be in a different league! I have a few britains models but can't find any photos at the moment. Basically I've moved from being a carpet farmer to a model collector over the past few years. At the moment I'm working on a small (model) workshop, trying to make it look as realistic as possible. I don't have a great deal of room so I don't have any huge dioramas or anything! altrac
Do you work on a farm Andrew, or have friends/relatives who do? Hi Chris, I don't work on a farm although I would very much like to. I have a few relatives in farming but they live down south which is a long way to go to work as i'm in edinburgh. I'm studying mechanical engineering with a view to doing something agriculture and engineering related at the end of that

Deere-est
Welcome to FTF, Andrew. Don't be shy though, the more you post then the more you will enjoy getting stuck in. You are in good company here with regard to model dioramas from shelf based displays to entire attics so what you don't know, you will soon. Inspiration is not short here and nor is help and advice. Being and engineer you are learning an ideal trade to turn into a model making extraordinaire!

Leakeyvale
Dioramas can be tiny but the forum is about farm toys and not just dioramas. Variety is the spice of life and you have probably discovered that this forum has plenty of variety. Welcome to the mad world of FTF!

altrac
hi andrew welcome to the nut house mate, certainly looks like your hooked going by the new building , whats it going to be when finished Hi sean, thanks very much, it'll be a workshop, as you can perhaps see there's a hole in the floor that will be an inspection pit when it's done, it has all the wood on it now, it just needs the corrugated cardboard cut to size and sprayed the right colour and stuck on and then it's very nearly ready to be filled with all the usual workshop equipment/junk
