Rust Killer

Hey guys, Been looking at my MF3085 and im starting to see signs of the rust coming through its just on the cab could anyone tell me what I could use to kill the rust and what would be the best way to go about sorting this would like to do it now before we need the tractor in the spring.

Robert. There are many propriatory rust killer products out there but not to be confused with the rust inhibitors. Any good auto supply shop will advise you but if you want to keep it cheap, ie, no cost, then remove as much of the rust as you can and clean the affected area as much as you can down to bare metal and if it's pitted use a rotary wire brush/wheel and then with a small paint brush, 'paint' on the area battery acid and leave to dry naturally. When dry the area you treated will turn powdery white, wash it off and let dry again and then undercoat with a good red oxide, then an undercoat and then your cab colour.
