Wiking John Deere 6210R upgrade

Recommended Posts

Finally finished my first new JD upgrade today as I switched the bonnet from an siku 6210 onto my Wiking version.

I plan to cannabalise the rest of the siku 6210 for other projects so as to get some value back from it.

My Wiking 6210R has now had back and front wheel track adjusted to be 4mm narrower which looks right, the front hub was swapped with the last Wiking JD model and front tyres of the fendt 718........................I decided after trying various rear tyres that the originals looked best on the 6210R  although ive used smaller tyres for my other 6R.

As usual my JDs received a few spray coats of JD yellow paint and also a large yellow toolbox I painted up earlier and now just needs a JD logo stuck on it :)

Yeah they are better than the silver painted versions, I really dont know why Wiking bothered to paint them!  I mean they arent brilliant unpainted but there passable, just.................see the pic below.

The second pic shows the tyre difference between 6210R number 1  shod on original tyres  and 6210R number 2 shod on the old Wiking tyres from JD7430.........................I reckon if someone makes some decent R series decals like 6170/ 6190  I will switch the 6210 over as it makes sense to have the smaller tyred vehicle at lower HP.
