If this years show is anything like last year it will be a fantastic weekend.  All booked up and ready to go.

Having been to Andy's this afternoon and from the forms  he has had back already with many new exhibitors I get the vibes No 3 will be even better than the last two which have been very good....top marks for Andy for taking the incentive and setting up a show in Aberdeen...The Oil Capital of Europe....I just wish to heck they would get the roads around it better ;D  ;D

As usual Andy I will help all I can with publicity and well on the day of the show from 5am ,,,,,but not a 2 am bed time like last year....I can function normally with 6 hours sleep but  that's excluding any alco pops ;D  ;D

So do we Mandy and that why we stay were we do despite the snow etc Aberdeen is a nice city with all the granite buildings and towers and spires etc hence its nick name the "Granite City". I would never stay in it though...since I like the shire better with the valleys and nice countryside views 8)

Now you need to get this song word perfect since we want to hear this one being sung on the Saturday evening at the Treetops ;D  ;D

I really hope i'm at home this year!! Finger crossed...

Well if not you will just have to settle for pictures on here or a show report in MODEL Farmer Ronan.... ;D  ;D ...but I know that is not the same. There is a video done by Ian Wood from Dyce both years which reminds me I must give him a bell and get a copy of last year to remind me of the day since well it was busy and it passed so so quickly....but then again time does fly when you are enjoying yourself 8)

I saw your post about the proposed FTF visit to Knockothie Farm at Ellon and I'll see who many people are interested and then see if Raymond Chapman and his boss are happy to have "model tractor collectors" visit and see his real deals. A late afternoon visit would be good and that would allow time for meals somewhere and a few "shandies" at the Treetops before a reasonable time for a bit of shut eye for a 5pm start...so for me that mean's 11 pm latest since I need my 6 hours ;D  ;D

Bill put me down for the few shandies bit.

Just don't tell andrew.

Think he already knew that would be the case!!! ;D

Bill, if your going to get up for a 5pm start, then I'm afraid you will be just in time to help tidy up :of  :police: and as for the singing, well, you can count me out for them :-[  :-X

I was speaking to Kenny Moir from Peterculter this afternoon who displayed 1/16 scale tractors  and some lorries at the first show in 2010 at the Marriott in Dyce but he could not manage the second since he was on the Alness Commercial Vehicle Run in year two and will be doing that one again on the same day as the model show this year with his N reg Seddon ex Hamlyn's Aberdeen...now painted in John Deere Green but was originally in New Brunswick Green with a silver chassis. He was telling me he now knows who originally painted the motor and on which day 8) ...he has yet to find out if there was anything on the doors...e,g...a logo or a sheaf...and the former driver etc.
