Jez on here had a simple way. He found some rectangle (rather than square) mesh, cut out a strip then held the right bottom corner with pliers and the top left corner with pliers and then gave it a gentle pull. It looked just like yours, maybe not as strong but it looked very good. I like seeing soldering, something I havn't ever been able to sit down and have a good go at properly.
