Pete
Plans are in motion!! Its been a few months since i've done anything and now i'm affected by lack of space so need a layout which is compact. The model i've settled on is going to be based around a local council holding, with slight additions as it currently only has 4 acres. The yard will have a mix of old and newish buildings and will have acerage increased to approximatly 150 acres. Fleet will be all massey and combine will be a old class. (Hoping the 1/32 seneter comes available....) Livestock i,m thinking of doing b&b pigs which could also be housed on neighbouring farms for additional income. A small amount of contract work will also be done, mainly spraying. This will be a slow build, and hopefully an interesting one.
Jdeere6910
Sounds an interesting project Pete, is there many council farms left any more?

Pete
The dutch barn is to be based around the Britains farm buildings frame work, clad with Juweele roof sheets, and the space next to it will hold some circular grain silos.
Pete
Sounds an interesting project Pete, is there many council farms left any more? This one has just been sold, there is a few all in one area and i think most a private now.

Fenside MF
likeing the idea of baseing it on a real farm, how much is the farm up for sale for Pete out of interest? Sounds an interesting project Pete, is there many council farms left any more? There is a few left on the edge of Peterborough, and according to the local paper the district council wants to evict the tenants and put wind turbines on the land which is grade 1 arable land. Complete stupidity from the council I feel, we need to produce more of our own food

Pete
Not sure how much it sold for. Was done through sealed bid. It's bad how many council holdings have been sold off and many are not used for agriculture use. Started barn tonight Sean, good to be building a layout again. Hoping to get the timbers tomorrow then waiting till mandy gets some juweele roof sheets in stock.
