Hywel
Hello to all As a new member of FTF I thought i should make an effort to post a review of my newly purchased models that arrived today, along with the beastly NH BB9090. Firstly, here is a picture of them both together Now then, they are both brilliant models in their own little ways, but unfortunately both have there downsides. What I like about them is that if you are to buy them as a pair, they are different. Now that could be obvious as they are different tractors, but some manufactures could be lazy enough to just change the decals etc ...not in this case. The MF 6475 - £29.95 A stunning model with highly detailed interior, however, I do have one bone to pick, it says Dyna-6 on the bonnet however inside it looks like a Vario type gear lever...just been picky. The opening door was a bit of a surprise as i was not aware of this function at the time of purchase. It works brilliantly and feels sturdy and relatively strong. The steering system is very good on this model, unlike some of my other UH models, and all the wheels run smoothly. The mirrors open and close very well and are well fixed to the cab roof. Indoors there is excellent detail with the added bonus of a front loader joystick to go along with the loader brackets. Things I am not so keen on are the front linkage, rear linkage and wind screen wipers. The front linkage top-link is not square on my model, therefore when you attach the supplied weight, it does not sit properly. Please see photo. The rear linkage seems to not function very well, as it is unable to support anything in its upright position. I believe though this is just a problem on my model. The windscreen wipers do not move. I am only pointing this out as on my New Holland T7.210 model, the rear wiper rotates 180 degrees perfectly. Despite these downsides, the model is still fantastic, and will soon be hauling a Smyth FieldMaster trailer i have on order (custom built). Can't wait! The MF 7499 - £32.95 I love this model!! Is it simply brilliant and definitely looks the part on 'my shelf' Here is a picture of it still semi in its box The 7499 came in a standard box but it is semi dealer like as it says the name of the tractor on the plastic, but maybe this is UH's new way? This is another thing that made me like this model instantly, the way it is secured to the box. Only one tie!!! Only took me about 1 minute to remove compared with the frustrating 5 minutes spent at the 6475 The linkages on this machine are great, and cope with weight with easy. Also they are not wobbly and therefore hold any implements upright and not lopsided. I am saying this is my Siku 6210r has a rather awful rear linkage and so does my New Holland T7.210 - the front linkage can not cope with any weight what so ever!!! One thing that is quite interesting on this model is the fact that UH put swivel like beacons on top...not sure why...but I'm not complaining Indoors the cab is very nice and impressively is slightly different from the 6475, featuring some blue buttons along the command arm If I had to choose one of them, it would definitely be the 7499. I see this model as the perfect size tractor, pleasing to the eye and a example of a cracking real life tractor. Despite the opening door on the 6475 it is just not as nice as the 7499, however I think the front and rear linakages may have put me off the 6475 a tad. Thank you for reading, I hope you enjoyed my first ever review. Please go to 'Hywel Phillips - Model Shelf Collection' to view more of my models. I will definitely be up for doing more reviews in the future. Please comment and give me some tips!! Hywel

Sort of wish it wasn't on there anyway as generally not a fan of front loaders (they get in the way when scraping )

MuirHillyBilly
I could be wrong but I think the UH New Holland loader mechanism can be modded onto a 6475, I measured it up but put it ona Ford 7810 instead in the end.

Anyway, I porabbly won't be buying one..more interested in buying a telehandler i.e manitour, or especially a merlo seeing as our construction company are now on our 5th one. I wish someone would produce a quality telescopic handler...like a jcb 320 or a jcb 416/

That seems fairly highly detailed, haven't got one myself as I can't afford one right now, so I can't really comment on the level of detail, but it looks fairly realistic

Am I wrong now?
