BC
Graham Burke of Pentland Livestock is conducting a sale at the Pammure Armes Hotel in Edzell on Saturday 25th May 2013 from 1pm and it includes 200 Border Fine Art figuirines. There is only one I'm missing and that is "the Threshing Mill" and there is one for sale no 4 of 600. I have always said I would not try and get one but well someone said last weekend that it would complete the full collection of Border Fine Art tractors. Well so it would and well maybe if the price is right http://www.pentlandlivestock.co.uk/news/specialist-auction-sale-of-535-lots-of-ceramics-and-collectables-83/
powerrabbit
I expect that the bidding will be brisk Bill. They say that people are being tighter with their money but they'll always find money for what they want. Should be interesting.
BC
I emailed Graham about the "Threshing Mill" Tim and although no reserve on it it doesn't have the original box and packaging and a piece is broken off the top of the tractor lum. I suppose that could be repaired but I doubt it will be coming home with me unless it sells at a low price. I will try to attend if nothing else on and well I can always do a sales report for Model FARMER.
Barry
Is the Nuffield with reversible plough in the sales Bill? I would like to get that one and the "like father like son" at some point
BC
Can you not download the 500 odd listing Barry If not PM me your email addess I will print and scan a copy to you tomorrow. I sped read the listing and I did notice No 358 is "Like Father Like Son" Could not see a Nuffy with a reversible plough but that is niot to say there isn't one and well if you or I speak to Graham I'm sure he could be on the lookout for one for you
BC
Today I left for the sale at Edzell and took the scenic and shortest route there over the Cairn O Mount. A lovely day and drive despite the amount of racing cyclists coming from the Edzell side and sometimes two abreast. Viewing was from 9 am and I had a lovely lunch between 12 and the start of the sale at 1 pm. I did not come home with the elusive one since the starting bid was higher than I was willing to go since it did not have the original packaging and the lumb was broken and missing off the Marshall M. I did however come home with 4 Clydesdale horse figurines which I got at rather reasonable prices. Now I really need to go back to the Magpie warehouse at Inverurie on Monday and hope a corner unit is still there for sale to store them in
Valley Axe Man
Did the lots sell well Bill?? or did some not sell on the day??
BC
I was literally about to unpack my purchases when I got a call from Graham Burke the auctioneer saying there had been a mix up and I had been given Lot 372 instead of 370. That will be easily sorted and on a positive note although I had the words NO written against 372 in the listing I will at least get detailed pictures of another Border Fine Arts Figurine. BC
Did the lots sell well Bill?? or did some not sell on the day?? The bulk of the sale was from someone in Edinburgh who was downsizing and everything was for sale with no reserve Paul.

BC
Yes Paul I like these gentle giants and as a kid I remember my grandads last horse Katie who was nearly 20 years old when he had to put her away to a Clydesdale Horse sanctuary near Perth.
