Paul Palmer
my next conversion, when it gets here,uh mf 2680,plans for it are, remove right hand step, the cab was only a one door, move exhaust to the correct place, that will involve filling the bonnet and a respray, change wheels and tyres all round,or change just tyres all way round, and add a number plate, that should do it,oh try to turn the front weights the right way up,or remove them all together and just have a weight frame, also warning decal above left hand step
Paul Palmer
early start to the 2680,the front weights are now fitted the right way round, right hand steps removed, this version only had a 1 door cab so the right hand steps were never fitted to 1 door cabs, bonnet and exhaust removed in readiness to put the exhaust in the correct position and to fill and spray the bonnet,i might also remove the front mudguards, not made my mind up on that yet,new wheels and tyres arriving for this conversion next week

Niels
It looks like the wheels came off an Fiat F130 Paul? Does anyone know how to take the frontwheels off without any damage, do you have to take the whole model apart? Do the frontweights come off easily or do you need to split the model? I'd like to change them round on my model as well but a novice like me is afraid he will completely destroy the model!
Paul Palmer
niels the wheels came off a ros fiat 180-90 ,frontweight comes off easy, but you do have to remove the bonnet, then the weights are held by 2 small screws, but there is a bit of grinding to do,because so when you turn the weights round the right way the bonnet doesnt sit flush,so you will have to grind a piece of the weight frame away, also do you need to know how to take the wheels off the fiat or the massey? the fiat wheels came to me all seperated from the fiat,if its the massey wheels you need to remove, gently prise off the front hub and underneath will be a screw, undo the screw and thats the front wheels off the massey, hope the info helps niels It looks like the wheels came off an Fiat F130 Paul? Guest
why did UH not make the 2680 right in 1st place it would have saved you some work & left you a little more time todo the washing up - But on the other hand its letting us in to the world of the model makers like your goodself so its a win win i think they say a big farm near me used 2 MF 2680s from new & the farm i worked on had a s/h MF 2640
