Deere-est
With buildings coming along and my experience being a little better now I thought I'd start a new Topic for my farm layout progress. One Scaloox shed is nearing completion and another is just getting off the ground. This will be the farm workshop, it's a slight play on the tractor shed offered here - http://scaloox.com/1-32-Farm-Model-Stonework Scroll to the bottom of the page. Deere-est
I resized them to a bigger size than the other Topic The front will have a frame work built around the sides and top and have big old wooden doors hung on hinges Ben. I do have a very cunning plan for this shed though as regard to it's function in my display. A few ideas hopping around in my head. I am taking far more time and paying far more attention to this shed, filing and sanding nearly every block used and once done will point the blocks, plugging any gaps properly. FB
good!!!, . :) I've not filed all of my blocks, just a few, next time i'll do the same as you and think it out better i'm still thinking about doors, not 100% yet to be honest \ :)

MODELFARMER
I tell you a way I done mine, Glue was pva glue In the smaller blocks put a blob on the outside, wipe off with paper towel, this then covered over any larger gaps and when painted will not be seen. I'm up to roof level but haven't had time to look near it since
Tractorman810
i used pva to,like ricky said it does tend to fill any of the larger gaps ,although it is easier to file the blocks sometimes asthey can be way out,the newer grey stuff is far better put together though compaired to the early buff stuff i first used
Tractorman810
the pva gets everywhere, but washes of easy, just got to paint the outsides of mine now,and finishe of the detailing on each part
Deere-est
Nice tips lads, that will be carried forward for the next shed I do I think. Here's the next layer up and set.
Deere-est
Added a window at a higher level to the rear aswell. Hopefully the cattle in the field board which will go behind this shed won't be able to get their slobbery gert tongues all over the glass!!! Deere-est
Yeah, they are slightly softer too. Even with the new ones there is a still a very slight curve in them. I have just recieved a handful of blocks from TM to get this one finished. So more pics towards the end of the week. TM's a top bloke ya know!! :)

Deere-est
Thanks Ben. As you can see the second of my Scaloox shed is coming along a treat, rendered inside the same way as last time. I have also used water down Bostic pva to fill in any gaps on the outside now and tidied up the edges, around the windows etc. She is painted base coat only so far. Quality check later, maybe a bit more pointing needed. I'm just putting together a workbench and some shelving to go inside it.
