catkom3
Thanks to Adie for asking that Horse Power question I remembered seeing this picture posted on GTP yesterday, Would that work, seems like a good way to utilise your tractor, but is it feasible to ted grass directly at the back of the mowers,?? Regards Joe.
Niels
it would probably work if you can get the reduction from the rear mowers to the tedder. The biggest issue of all (apart from weight and lifting the darn thing) is that the mowing speed is triple that of tedding..
catkom3
Thanks for that Niels,i would never have known that, could the tedder possibly be driven by a land wheel, although I doubt that as they look to be too big, hydraulic motor maybe,?? Deere-est
Would those mowers not have spreader plates in the back anyway though?

Niels
Joe: A massive hydraulic motor will perhaps but is far from efficient! Land wheel driven is not possible no as you remark. Tris: This Kuhn mower doesn't. It's a simple drum mower without conditioner: http://www.rth.nl/userfiles/Afbeeldingen/Kuhn/Voederwinning/KUHN_6923_72dpi_PZ900.jpg
Jdeere6910
We find you get a lot of wilting if the grass is left in the swaths for the first few hours. I suppose it's a pass less if you could rig a Tedder up to run behind the mowers

Niels
Versatile (Bühler) do have the rights for this tractor design yes but it came from Ford originally. Best known as the 'Genesis' series.
