graham Posted March 8, 2016 Author Share Posted March 8, 2016 A few updates from trewny farm. Having a new heating system installed in the house. Had an lpg tank delivered. The feed being pushed up with the jozmoov. Getting on well with the bobman, cubicle bedder and sweeper. Putting some silage out for the dry cows. graham Posted March 19, 2016 Author Share Posted March 19, 2016 Also turned the cows out always a nice day when they go out. Managed to catch the dry cows all happy and lying in the cubicles. Still got a few pheasants around on the farm, not feeding them anymore but they are still coming round for a scratch round and a few rabbits around too. We had a small local contractor in to spread some dung on the barley ground also been looking at a new amazone cultivator. Bought a second hand press to go on the front of the mx135 with the weavering drill on the back drilling peas and barley mix for whole crop. graham Posted March 28, 2016 Author Share Posted March 28, 2016 Had as bit of trouble with the rooks and pigeons so put the gas gun out also had our local cattle haulage man to come and pick a cow up its come to the end of her time on trewny farm. Looking into converting where the old dairy was may start bottling some milk the way the milk price is at the moment need to look at other ways of i ncreasing the farms profit.
