I have a 30w one and it seems like it doesn't have enough heat when Im soldering sheet and bigger profile rod. But I've read somewhere that it is ample power for brass moddeling. Liam7810 Posted July 20, 2017 Author Share Posted July 20, 2017 I use a refillable gas torch for soldering brass sheet, I also use soldering iron 100w for smaller bits to solder but I also have a 30w which did me great work but for a nice looking finish without any excess solder showing too much I use the pencil gas torch!
