bluegreen
I first did a 8360R back in 2013 but decided to do another having bought the Siku model and also a Britains 9530 for another project which didn't happen. So I thought I would use the smart metal wheels off the 9530 and fit them to the 8360R............and that led me to do the whole model. The cab interior has been painted for detail, the cab gets two new wipers, new door handle, new beacon, new indicators, Reg plate, door rail and driver. The wheels all got resprayed, a front weight and holder came from a JD 3640 and a JD 8430T respectively. This model will go on my layout of JD classics. 844john
I like that very much, just shows how a fairly basic model can be greatly improved to something that can happily sit alongside a Wiking or Schuco
bluegreen
I agree John, this particular model is the best example siku have made in recent times.................the bonnet is actually better than the Wiking JDs as it has a decent set of front lights! 844john
Yes, you would think a £50 model would deserve something better than a bit of silver paint for a light!
Paul Palmer
i do think wiking have sorted there lights out now, definately on the 6210R, i have 2 of them and now the model is released with realistic lights, not sure about their other tractors though
844john
That's true Paul, it almost seems like a mix up on their part as the siku 6210's had glass lights from the outset while the Wiking ones were just painted on. Maybe someone misread the plans in the factory!
