tabmodels
Just recently finished this Ford 7700 for a customer, converted from a Britains TW-10, it has rebuilt rear linkage, scratch built front weights bracket, front axle from a Britains 7600, front wheels from a UH Massey 2620 and the skid unit and bonnet has been cut and shut to shorten the overall length. Customer spec air filter stack and wing mirrors.

Thanks Paul, I cut the model in the most inconspicuous place possible whilst still trying to retain key features. This one has about 6mm of length cut out of the engine block just in front of the box step/diesel tank. The bonnet has 6mm cut out at the seam just in front of the diesel filler cap. The cab hasn't been raised at all, the donor model was a TW-10 which already has a flat deck cab, but the raised look may be an illusion because I used the Britains 7600 rear wheels with the TW skid unit

Steve P
Very very nice, that would look fab in my collection of classic fords. May i ask how do i go about having a similar convertion done for myself, as i would be interested in obtaining a few models not available off the shelf. I would atempt to convert one myself but i would make a pigs ear of it!.

justy 46
Again a nice tractor. I done one off those a few years back also. I hacked up a Britains 7600 & used every bit of it really except the bonnet which came from an old Britains 7710/TW-20. I raised the cab & as you say a lot of cutting & packing in the most inconspicuous places . I always loved the 7700. Remember back in the mid 80's when our contractor had one powering a Tarrup double chop. It was a big tractor in its day when the most common/popular norm sized Fords in our area were 4600s & 5000s . Thanks Justin, yes I enjoyed building this one, I have a soft spot for the 7700 too, an impressive looking tractor with a bit more style to it than the smaller tractors in the range. For a four cylinder tractor it stands tall and proud

Janval
Neat model! Have you done any TW15 conversions? I was thinking of making one from a UH 8830, probably not the best fit though?

Thanks Jan, yes I'm sure it could be done, I intentionally use Britains based models for TW builds and then layer on the detail. Britains TW bonnets and cabs seem to be more dimensionally correct to me, UH have amazing detail but their TW bonnets look narrow.
