Paul Palmer
the trailer arrived yesterday,i think its perfect to go with the britains jd forager,i have rubbed it down ready for a primer coat,i will spray it jd green or mf red,as I have those colours spare,i have removed the tipping arm and the wheels wheel be sprayed, flat silver/aluminium,tail gate and silage sides are on their way from Dave towse, these will also be sprayed to match the trailer body, also hydraulic pipes will be added
FendtFarmer
Didn’t realise Dave did silage sides that’s saved me a issue, have you thought about a tandem axle?
Paul Palmer
he did, then stopped them Ben,wont be doing a tandem axle on this trailer Ben,its to small to warrant a tandem axle in my opinion
MJB1
Classic little trailers for the forager, if you got a steady hand & the nerve to drill more holes in the chassis rails they make a decent 2 axle 7 tonner
Paul Palmer
see above,i don't want a tandem axle

844john
Looking forward to seeing this one Paul, I've got several of those trailers in blue and also MF red from when I was a lad, might be copying your ideas!
Paul Palmer
as I say John I think it will match really well with the jd forager, not sure what classic tractor will pull it though, could be any 3 from mf or any 3 from ford,it will go in a small dio being towed with a tractor not the forager,so a side filling dio really
844john
It does go well with it Paul, I put one on the back for the photo of the 6400 with the forager and it was a good match, I suppose a bit of work improving them is easier than building a one from scratch. Paul Palmer
exactly, scratch building one would be a lot more difficult

844john
Looking very good Paul, it's nice to see smaller kit being given a bit of the limelight, the forager should look good when you've finished with it. Will it all stay as it is or will you weather it slightly?
