My classic collection.

Here is some of my collection of tractors mainly from the classic era. I have been collecting on and off for a long time but a few years ago I decided to only collect models mainly from the late 60s to early 90s. Ford and ford based tractors are my main interest but as you will see I admire many other types.

I have always had a soft spot for the 500 series masseys as my father used to drive them many years ago.

I am a big fan of Replicargi models, the 2 Internationals are the most recent additions to my fleet.

Some of my Fords and Countys, I opted for the Britains TWs as in my opinion though not as well detailed they look slightly better then the UH examples.DSCN7798.thumb.JPG.43a25c77ea76409dac2be8ad39f45307.JPG

I am a huge fan of County tractors, unfortunately I only have these 2 at the moment but I will hopefully add to these, though price and availability of this iconic brand is always a hurdle!!.DSCN7804.thumb.JPG.420eaeb18dec92b3f690ccf26901bd8c.JPG

Thanks all, yes my collection is building quite well now as i will be adding to it frequently, already a Britains ford tw-25 and tw-35 are due to arrive in the next few days. My Britains jd 4020 is a nice little model i purchased that when the model was released so ive had it for quite a while now.

Thankyou Justin, seems we both have a passion for the old classics. Limited space was the main reason why i opted for collecting only classic era models so i dispensed of my modern era ones. Saying that it will not be long before space becomes an issue again unless i convert the attick!, i have saved the boxes for most of my collection so if needs must i can store some safely.

Spot on . If your were ever to sell them off ...it's the boxes that will add value to them . All mine are boxed up again & in storage .. And they may stay that way for some time yet .

The Britains TW20 back then was under scaled a lot & when it was reintroduced as the 7710 ... It looked better in terms of its scale , so making it a 7700 suits it well . The engine subframe representation on the casting is the only thing that would take from it ... Then again Britains had the longest run with that casting as a 5610 which was totally off the wall ,but we still had great carpet farming days with them , not knowing any better as young lads !!:D:D

Quite agree Justin, several years ago i rather basically converted a "big wheeled" 5610 into a TW and in my opinion it looked a lot better. Compare it to Britains latest attempt and it doesn't look too much out of place, though the original small wheeled TW 20 looks far too small and its transformation into a 7700 seems more accurate.20180525_180335.thumb.jpg.3cb5a59506abcaadb220e17d9e1aa0fd.jpg

I done much the same thing Steve with the big wheeled 5610 . I converted 2 of them to a TW-15 & an 8210 . They weren't my greatest looking convos , but a gave them a shot anyhow !
