Wow looks great John! That cab looks like a tricky build  lots of angles!

Thanks Ian, actually the cab wasn't too bad, the tricky bit has been getting the geometry of the back actor right, but scaling down the real measurements accurately has worked out spot on, I suppose JCB got it right so there's no excuse for me !

Yeah geometry is a tricky one, especially getting the movement from the arm without hydraulic rams coming up too short or too long. Can't always build it exactly as the manufacturer did either, usually making stronger mods here and there. I've taken on 4 Hymac 270s with fully working arms and it's a chore, won't be making any more!

This is serious stuff John! hell i said you were a dark horse and this proves that you've more skill than your letting on ;) Fantastic build and look forward to seeing more :)

Thanks Paul, the main of the frame and cab was started a couple of years ago and then it stalled as I couldn't find any rams of a suitable size and diameter to look right and give the degree of movement that I wanted. After picking it up again, I can see myself that i have become a bit neater in my work and some of the original build seems a little crude in places, but I'm sure I can sort it out as I go along:) I actually started building two, one as a gift for someone, so hopefully I can get number two back under way again!

Hell fire that is nice. Looks so intricate! Just how a model should be made !! Pin point accuracy! What Wheels you putting on it mate ? The Britain’s 3cx would look good

Thanks Sam, it's proving very intricate, but I think I'm getting there!  For the front I was going to use the rear wheels of the original Britains Loadall, for the rears I have some off a 3cx, not sure of the manufacturer, but they are a good likeness for the real ones.
