SPN
The Bulldozer collection and how the new machines look on the KOBA lowloader. I must finish building a larger KOBA lowloader for the Hino 6x4 which will match better with the Hymac. The FIAT-Allis dozer is from the mid 80s and the New Holland is from the late noughties
Popular Post SPN
The collection is based on one (very big) farming operation from the 1960s to 2020 The aim is to have tractors and matching machinery right through the decades, and while the tractor back story has been relatively straighforward to put together, there are still big gaps on the machinery front - such as MF 29, MF30 & MF 500 seed drills and other common tillage machines from the 60s, 70s and 80s. It took a little while (and a lot of overtime) to finally get the tractor story for Milltown House completed, so here's a sneak preview of them all lined up. Milltown House has tillage, dairy and horticulture units. Back row is the sequence of frontline tractors, in front of them are the backup tractors, in front of them are the row crop/high clearance horticulture tractors and at the very front are the specialist tractors

SPN
The collection is supposed to start in 1965, but here's another sneak preview of Milltown House machinery yard in about 1960. Still have some fettling to do so I can hopefully start the 1965 photos next week. Need to find a way to get more light into the barn for one thing.
SPN
Fast forward to the late 80s and early 90s, when harvester capacity ramped up quickly and different approaches to ramping up mower capacity had to be looked at. (Schuco) Deutz InTrac 6.60 with (BOR) Agrimech Grasshopper and (Agrarmodell) Deutz-Fahr KM25F front mower (Weise) Fendt 615LSA with (BOR) Taarup 307 with windrower and (BOR) Taarup 317F front mower

SPN
The latest arrival is the SE FineCast kit for a 1925 7hp Allchin traction engine. I've been promising myself this one for nearly 20 years. I don't know when this will get to the top of the (very long) build list, but it's finally here. SPN
We had a lot of Manitou machines out on a recent job, including lots and lots of Rotos. But my favourite by far was the 625 I hired in for my team. 75hp, 6m reach, 2.5 tonne capacity, neat and tidy, and very useful around the place. I never rated the UH model of the 625 as I couldn't see the purpose for such a small machine. Boy was I wrong. So I bought one. Here it is with the ROS Roto

SPN
One of the other toys I got to play with on my last job was a Takeuchi rubber duck. An amazingly versatile machine. So I had to buy an AT Collections Volvo for the collection. You know how it is.

SPN
A new theme in recent years has been 2wd 6 cylinder tractors. It started out with Fordson and Ford but has now been expanded to other makes. I currently have one Massey, the 2620, and hope one day to get an 1135 as well. Other options could be 399, 699 and some of the 3000 series. We'll see.
