I have made a bit more progress with grain/potato store.  I have painted the steel frame.  I have also added the drying floor, concrete front floor and then most of the breeze block walls.  I have also made some progress on the central ducting.

The main doors have been added, each bay has a set of three doors.

Other than progress on the shed, there has been a reorganisation of the machine shed, silos and workshop to use the space a bit more  efficiently.

Main activity on the farm has been prep work for the spring.  We have been washing out the sprayer and beginning the prep work on the potato planting equipment.

The 8530 has spent a lot of the winter in the workshop with radiator issues.  It remains one of the workhorses of the farm, but she is getting quite costly.

Chris, can I ask,the big jd 9RX,is that an ertl model?looks great,i see yours has mirrors and a 3 point rear hitch, did you add these?

yes it is the cheaper ertl version.  I missed out on getting the 9620RX before there prices went crazy.  so I bought a 9570RX, I then painted the wheels John deere yellow, added hand rails, rear linkage, mirrors and the Sumo front weight.

Here are a few snaps from this summer so far on Lantau Farms.

We have had a demonstrator as our local Massey dealership have tried to get ahead of the Lexion 8900 coming next year.  They brought along an old Challenger 95E with a Perad chaser so we can compare that to our Larrington Ejector Chaser.

Big developments on Lantau Farm's.  We have torn down most of the old buildings to make space for a high  capacity storage system.  We are building two 4000T flat stores each split into 4 bays.  We are also adding a new recieving pit, wet grain bin and a Chief Continuous Flow Dryer.

We have repurposed some of the old buildings into a new workshop.

new developments to the farm yard are coming together.

I am struggling to get any cladding for the buildings given some of the current travel restrictions here.  So I have added some green paint to the foam board as a temporary measure.  The auger system is installed and painted linking the pit, grain dryer, grain stores and secondary silos.

As I need to make space in my garage to put a car, I have had to redesign Lantau Farms a little.

I have actually managed to end up with more layout space, even in a smaller area.  I have decided to add a large machinary shed.  The base parts are from Britains Sheds with additional Plasticard.  There will be two open bays for Machinary and the third bay at the end will be an enclosed workshop and office.

Some serious construction work on the go here, how do you go about finding inspiration for building, given your the other side of the world to the area you're modelling?

The inspiration comes from being so far away from home.  My family farm in Lincolnshire, so it is nice to build a small slice of home in my Hong Kong garage, haha.
