Ford 7810 conversion

Recommended Posts

It's been a little while since I've had time to do any model conversions or modifications,

So thought I'd have a go at turning a universal hobbies 7810 into a 2wd

After a fare bit of cutting and shutting I managed to fit a front axle from a tw30 And use its front belly weight as the front weight, I have tried to make a more realistic rear linkage aswell

Here's my progress so far

Linkage after first coat of paint, and put into place but not secured yet,

So slowly coming together now, might even put some dual wheels on it yet,and not sure about original exhaust or a straight pipe

Thats looking really smart, would look good with a 4m Massey 30 drill behind with the duals on!!

Thanks, I was thinking of putting some sort of cultivator on it, but a massey drill with abit work done to it might be an option

Yes great model Shaw I’m a massive fan of realistic linkages you’ve done a great job.

Thank you, I must admit I'm pretty happy how it turned out

it's the little details like the tool box and grease gun that give the finishing touches to a tidy build. Nicely done Shawn :)

Thanks, I also found a draw bar to fit on the side aswell,
