This is a national farm show edition model, one of 2500. I got it from Martin Reeve in 2016. Can’t see me bothering with the wiking edition, as this looks very nice in the cabinet. If a choice between this and spending a similar amount of money on a Precision, i know which i would go for! Once the show madness has passed they should calm down, though it doesnt make up for the pretty average model......
bluegreen
I do agree that the RX is below previous Wiking standards, The 7310R is OK but I had to change the wheels and tyres to make it look realistic and the 6250R is decent but again ive had to raise the cab and narrow the wheel tracking and now its rather good. But of course I shouldn't have to make it right. The Fendt 1050 wasn't great when compared to the more recent 939 although I have to say the new 942 does appear to be a better effort. AndyB
For those interested, the Fendt 942 and the other new releases are on the Fendt shop site. May not ultimately be the cheapest way to get them though..... https://shop.fendt.com/scaled-models/collectibles.html
bluegreen
104 euros + 7 euros shipping + 18 euros tax = 130 euro x exchange rate approx. 120 quid...……………..I will wait.

b_emmons
I will wait for a normal model John Deere 9RX to go on general release then make my mind up if to buy one or not, as if I can find one at a good price it has plenty of potential

It doesn’t have the 3 point linkage as the wiking has, but has the detailed spools, which the standard model form Britain’s and ertl don’t have. Given the awful gold rivets on the wiking one, I’m happy with my farm show variant.

catkom3
If you are thinking about getting a 942,but would rather have a 930 / 933 / 936 / 939 Henry at Farmmodels nl, is producing a series of pre-cut decals for easy conversion,Mandy at HLT will maybe stock these,? https://www.farmmodels.nl/FENDT-930-VARIO-Gen.-VI-type-Vario-logo-stickers-voor-Wiking-942-model-Pré-Cut-Decals-1:32-Farmmodels.nl-?Lng=en Regards Joe. bluegreen
Funnily enough I was chatting to a friend who works at TNS our local big Fendt dealer and I asked him which would be the big seller in the new 900 series. He reckoned that as many of the 900s they sell get used on PTO work that the 942 would be too much power for the existing bed tillers to cope with and that most farmers who own 900s presently which are 90% the 936 model would opt to have another 936. In the previous range the 936 and 939 were the same rated power but you got more extra power for big pto jobs like huge chaser wagons on the 939. I think some of the 936 users will move up to a 939 but not a 942. Only existing 939 users will go for a 942 and I don't see any sales for the 930 or 933s especially when the revised 800s get a 300hp+ flagship. I will definitely buy decals for mine just as soon as I see what model the local farms decide to buy, 936 or 939.

chris.watson
Picked these two up today. Was surprised how small the terion is against the tractor. Axion tt is one hell of a model, all plastic though, very light, but excellent detail. Tracks turn very well for movement.

CX820Joe
They do look good, your rights the Axion almost looks like it's a slightly larger scale to the loader. I guess it's a big beast sitting on those tracks though.
