Thanks for the help guys, much appreciated, find the more you look at a picture the harder it gets to pick out the right bit!

Aaron, Too me both of yours look right, the silver one looks wrong, if you want specific angles we have a 6830 in at work at the moment. Happy to photo, might pop in for a bit tomorrow

Thanks for the kind offer, have a good few pics here from when I did a bit with one, working off them and a few online pics, so should be sorted that way, much appreciated though!

i see what you mean about the top, the line that runs the length seems to curve down at the end i to the front grill, and theres almost what looks like a small lip/overhang at the top of the grill above that line  ? unless me eyes are deceiving me, i am getting on now :D . but its hard to tell on the real one for sure ,i think you had right on your first one?, .either way you have done some serious work on both of them, and either is a dam sight better than the original thats for sure

I've got the overhang on the grill sorted using the wiking lower section, gives me the lip on the inside for the grill to sit against as well. Problem with that top line is getting the shape right below it to get the transition right when it does go into the bonnet. Think it’s where the two meet that is throwing me off, almost exaggerates the shape of the top?

Very good topic this, and the model is coming along nicely. I have had a look through my collection, and as I have mentioned before, my Wiking 6930 got re-badged as a 7530, courtesy of decals from convo.  The three tractors in the following pictures are my Siku 6920, a siku/Wiking 6930 convo and the Wiking 7530. I can’t remember where the 6930 came from, it was either Spalding or eBay. Whoever done the 6930 convo has used the proper ridged bonnet, which I though was from a Wiking 6930, but looking at the aerial picture of the three, I’m not so sure. It’s not a home made bonnet, definitely from a model manufacturer, any ideas what the donor tractor could have been?8BC6E73A-8019-4835-9F17-E395F3E3523D.thumb.jpeg.be37ba851422fe7ecf56b3f6fb31d558.jpeg89BC247B-67CA-44D6-8B35-D71287DA7039.thumb.jpeg.6893ef40f78103ac43d031c5c7bc4395.jpeg78B932A7-0836-4D8A-A551-CD6E3064DFFA.thumb.jpeg.066677bbd624333b3ded6aa9e336eafc.jpeg0E74F5E7-3708-46FA-9E69-50EDD87325D3.thumb.jpeg.66e83b1cb4262cd9b1e8ed604772ec3f.jpeg

very nice, is that the second one you did then ?  looks a lot better in primer, you can see the lines ect a lot better.

Cheers, yea this is the second one, resin top cast off the Siku then joined to a wiking bottom, give a far better fit for grills etc

looks really good aaron, will pm you as I need a decent 6930 in my collection and a cast bonnet will make it a bit more easy to do.

I did a mf 6480 bonnet by making it longer at the back, that took a while and wasn't as complex as yours where two grills are meeting and then the curves in the top half so hats off to you, very clever.

These are now back from getting cast, so I’ll be in contact with those that have already ordered shortly.

I have a very small number still available for any of those still looking one.

First shed built up for the new layout, bedded house for dry cows, had a change of heart halfway through the build and it’s looking for a new home.

Went all out to see how far I could take it, proper Yorkshire cladding with some slight staining/ weathering, guttering and gates with working bars, if it stays it’ll get some lights inside and out I think.
