how big a trailer though joe, biggest most will load would be a truck on a farm ,  and if your loading from a barn/ grain store ,  you would need to keep putting the cab up and down to get in and out of the door?? most grain stores don't have huge high doors on them , plus theres   plenty of telehandlers around already without the feature, and no ones complained yet ,

Fendt just haven't told these people they need one yet,no,I know what you mean, probably not be big sellers here, but Fendt would not be offering them if they couldn't sell them, they'll be useful if your loading those big high sided Fliegl trailers, should also be good for loading these new moving floor trailers coming from MarGe,, The Knapen trailers,I don't think neither the Liebherr loader or the Claas will lift high enough to load them,?

your right Joe,there must be a market, else why would fendt produce them?

they haven't produced them, they have just painted and. badged engineered them of the guys joe mentioned paul.

you see their kit all over mainland Europe, mostly as elevated  mobile cranes , loaders . they are blue and light grey that i have seen ,particularly in italy, think they may have some in the docks in plymouth as well. they are very much big material handlers, so would certainly suit  loading stuff in docks etc, so fendt  is trying a test in the market i recon, especially as fendt do not do any telehandlers at present, it takes the development costs out of the risk . just cant see a use in the agri world personally, but time will tell

Had a look at this today, it’s a nice bit of kit. I guess from my point of view it does kind of make some business sense. As said above, it is just a badge engineered Sennebogen. I doubt Fendt even touch it.

Sennebogen have developed quite a strong position in the materials handling market, as said above, ports and the such like. They want to grow their business and agriculture is one way to do that. However, they’ll never be competitive trying to set up an AG dealer network. Fendt / AGCO are never going to develop a telehandler... it’s a cut throat market led by the big boys (JCB, Manitou, Merlo, etc). Even the MF is a badge engineered Bobcat. The development costs to do it yourself are horrendous.

So Fendt want to be able to offer a telehandler....why not offer something into the AG market that differentiates you from everything else out there and matches with your image? Fendt might sell a few and get some extra income, Sennebogen build a few more and get some extra income. Neither are really directly competing.

As I said, only my personal viewpoint from a business point of view.....actual practicalities of use may be something totally different!

I reckon,if it ever came out in model form I would not be buying it,thats for sure

You can get a lot of Sennebogen models, including the telehandler..........but all in the 1/50 th construction model scale..... of course, not in Fendt colours.........yet!

Re the Fendt telehandler; does the agreement with Bobcat stipulate Agco could only paint it in Massey colours and market in that range?

Also in the telehandler area, has a Kramer appeared in John Deere colours yet?

That I can’t answer.... as in I don’t know, but marketing agreements will be pretty specific...doesn’t mean they can’t be renegotiated if it means more money!!

Havent had a chance to see the JD stand in detail yet, but Kramer looked to be their own brand / colours, all be it an extension of the JD stand.
