Popular Post Anderson Agri
Welcome to Lower Manor Farm, it was built by Reg Gray and is now been passed on to Craig Pitman and myself. We will be developing a story line for the farm and showcase monthly activities based on season as time goes. The farm Lower Manor Farm will start off based in 1968 and will see some immediate changes, a self feeding silage clamp is going in where the old Surry ramp was, that has now been moved to the right of where it use to stand and there will be a new shed where the double silage pits currently are. Each year the farm will hopefully jump 10 years at a time so in 2021 it will be set in 1978 and so on. Each year it will do as many shows as possible so you can all see the changes in person. The main ones hopefully not Guaranteed Warwickshire/ ToyTrac/ Penrith (if room) and hopefully Moira With each 10 year jump you will see changes like Machinery updates new buildings appear and old ones go. And the farm will expand slightly. So watch this space for more to follow.
Popular Post Anderson Agri
Starting off in 1968, we see the Frontline fleet for the farm. 350 acres of prime Somerset land with a 50 cow dairy herd. The main tractors are a Fordson power and super major, a Massey Ferguson 35x, Massey Ferguson 65 and a David brown 900 which was purchased second hand from a farm sale. We are also running the latest Claas combine and a state of the art new single chop forage harvester.

Anderson Agri
Come on now, this isn't the place to be arguing over the colour of an exhaust. It was bad enough on Facebook until it turned sour. The tractor isn't mine but Craig's and was ready built when we aquired it.

chris.watson
Zac has taken the time and effort to put something worthwhile on this forum and started this thread. If people wish to take the p@ss and make coments please do it amongst yourselves via messenger. Martin made a lighthearted comment and the reply’s have gone sour. My finger is poised over the post approval and eviction button....if anyone has a problem with that, please pm me. Some posts have been removed by admin as they are irrelevant to this topic.
Tractorman810
great topic zac, sorry it seems to have been spoilt by old issues and views from others unrelated to the topic . i have sorted these out now, this topic is not the place for such posts, if people feel the need to post like this ,please do not be offended by the mod team deleting them, or offended by being post restricted if required.
Popular Post Agrimodels Pitman
And so we’re clear the exhaust is staying silver who doesn’t love a chrome pipe on a tractor. even if it is 1968. I’m not very knowledgable on the time period me a zac are doing and one of the reasons I got zac onboard was his knowledge in older merchineary. but I thought it would be a fun challenge and a learning cerve at the same time. 14
mb86
My comment on the exhaust was not intended to offend anyone, it was intended to muster a smile as it had caused a stir on Facebook last night, I thought we were all above that kind of behaviour on this forum. I have missed some of the posts that have been deleted but I have a good idea of the context of them and frankly there is no need for it. As I said earlier I'm looking forward to reading this topic.

Popular Post Anderson Agri
It's not all fancy machinery and shiny exhausts! (Sorry couldn't help myself) but the backbone of the farm is the 50 strong Friesian herd, here they are this afternoon off for milking Edited December 27, 2019 by Anderson Agri
Dusty Dan
I like the farm, all farms for that matter. Congratulations on a wonderful job. When I visit my friends on the farm a few hours away where I hunt deer, I can just sit in the barn and smell the hay. It brings back memories of when I was a teenager and lived in Lancaster County Pennsylvania and worked on a dairy farm during my summers off from school. Some of the best years of my life. 8
