New Holland 8070

This arrived today. A couple of jobs to do. Firstly, bye bye straw chopper !! A careful application of satin black on the R/H cab glass frame and, of course, the New Holland script on the upper cab front. Otherwise 100% happy !! Quietly hoping that there will be an 8080 from Relicagri ;). Love the 8000 series.

How straightforward was it to demount the chopper?

Fairly easy. The lower section of the chopper had to be prised away (with minimum damage) then the upper section is held with one 'phillips'  screw. The other components required a little more effort to remove but all quite straightforward. I just need to make the fabric 'skirt' section now to replace it.

So you can do without damage to the model?

thinking of doing mine

I replaced the straw chopper with a fabric skirt section so the (very faint) area where I had worked on it is now covered. However, my advice now would be to prise off the lower section of the chopper first then unscrew the upper section (putting it down to experience !!). Hope this helps !
