Stabliofarmer
This is coming together nicely Lee. The PVA/pebble stone walls look very effective, I've never seen someone pull them off before but they look very good. Liking the cattle shed too, all the metal work in it is really bringing it to life.

I've also tried to do it with the grouting and stones to see if it looks like stone shed walls. But not realy happy with the finish. The shed is lookingbok but will look better with bedding and cattle in it. Need to get it finished off.
Stabliofarmer
Yes it should all come to life once there is some muck and animals in, looking forward to seeing it.
L33 DA17ON
Little more done to greenside today managed to get the old lambing shed finished decided to leave one side of roof off to get my hand in. Got the wood panels finished round the sides and sliding doors done. Mixed some more grouting for the shed floor. And added the wire mesh to windows. I've had a go at adding some sort of climbing weed to the side and roof. Went with a rusty look on roof sheets. Still need to add a bush or tree to the inside of the wall where it looks like top stones have fallen off. Also stated to add the top stones to all the walls finished off the door/gates to the cattle shed and sprayed black along with the two front gates think I'm going to paint them green like the steel work on shed. and started some small green rusty looking hurdles for lambing sheds. L33 DA17ON
So today I've been finishing the fence upto the slurry pit /midden. Didn't replace the old fence along the pit might get done next year. asos gada ho at making the pit look half full. And a pile of shed muck heaped up in yard in front of cow shed. and made the cow race up towards the cow crush. Got the railway sleepers on and road crash barriers bolted on. Just need some gates hung and the back yard fencing up.
L33 DA17ON
Also changed the colour of the old lambing shed put a darker paint on the timbers. Was looking to close to the rusty roof colour. And added a small tree
L33 DA17ON
So everitt Marshall turned up to greenside today. Dropping off a John deere 6400 and a jcb tm 320s we were away checking stock down our rented ground when they dropped them off. So didn't get any pictures of the on low loader. Put to work straight away got the 64 hitched up to the spreader and got the muck grab on the tm. To get some shed muck out on some ground. think greenside wont be spending much money now. Will be able to stack silage bales 4 high this year and hopefully save a little room in yard
L33 DA17ON
Small updates on greenside farm. Got the barriers made behind the cattle shed the scraper just fits under nicely. Think I need to change the colour of the concrete pannel it looks a bit blue to me. Also got the gates made to the entrance to slurry pit. started making some water troughs got one sprayed up and set in field. still need to make gates for the cattle crush area and finish off crash barriers. finding it had to get any time at the moment with all my sons fundraising. Just do as much as I can when I have a spare hour.
844john
looking very well Lee! I wouldn't worry about the colour of that panel, blue is a sign of good concrete, it just means whoever mixed it didn't skimp with the cement!

L33 DA17ON
Started a new shed couple days ago. This shed is on our farm but it's used for the family that rent the big farm house out. It is a cow byre but used for storage now. We used to use it when I was a young lad. So about 22 years ago. We used to shovel slurry straight into the barrel spreader. Was hard work back then. We cleaned it morning and night. So got the shead made out of ply and had a go at some stone work. Once dry I had to scribe the grout out worked out ok I think. Started on the wood work for the roof as well. got the inside walls white washed as well. We used to keep a round bale of straw in the barn with the arch and small square bales of hay. 844john
must admit Lee, i think that looks excellent, i love the attention to detail in your stonework with the different sized courses of stones and the blocked up window in the back. What did you use to colour it as it looks a good match for the sandstone up here?
mb86
That’s brilliant lee, it’s nicely coursed like John said but being hand scribed it isn’t overly neat. you’ve got some nice details in there, even the coin stones on the corners. What is going on the roof?

All I used was the same tile grouting I've used to do the concrete floors. I did a bit of a tester to see what it would come out like. And if you sand it or mark it it's a lighter shade of gray. Must as MIT I've got a good size blister on my finger with the precision screwdriver I've used.

What is going on the roof? Thanks mate. The shed is a slated roof. But I'm glueing them down to the bace so I like to leave one side open to reach inside. So could just be the wood work i must say the beams I've fitted were just a quick fit to see what it would look like. Like the old lambing shed I might just slate one side to get the affect. Even though it's not used for the farm I have to put it on the diorama as it's on the main run upto the second yard.
