My britains collection

As a young boy i got bitten by the britains bug. I have kept a soft spot for the brand ever since.

as shown in my introduction, my collection is small. But since my introduction on this forum it grew.

here are some pictures of my collection and how it is currently displayed.

The latest addition is a quadbike with trailer, sheep and sheepdog. A birthday present from my daughters and son in law.

I try to get all possible sheep and sheepdogs from Britains.

A few days ago i spotted some farmtoys on a secondhand site, mainly britains animals and unknown wooden farmbuildings and farmyard. I’m very happy with the animals and as a bonus the “drystone walls” complete with entrance.

I wonder if anyone can give me some info on the farmyard and buildings. They seem to be “factory made” and the seller told me Made in England. One the last picture two wooden buildings that look home made to me.

The two boxed models will hopefully arrive tomorrow. I bought the MF with box (only opened for display) a few months ago.

All other additions where mainly sheep and sheepdogs.

I will post an updated overview photo, a big difference to the first photo i posted.

Last week i received a few “new” Britains items.
A Ford Super Major in need of some repair, a ford 6600 early edition, a few smaller bits and pieces and a cowshed with the original box. A few parts are missing, but overall it is very nice.

The parts needed for the tractor are on my way. (Thanks to Henri Walker)

Does anyone know if it is possible to buy replacement parts for the cowshed?

And here a few pictures of the Ford Super Major with the new parts.

I am happy with the result. The fender has been repainted after this picture, i was not completely happy with the way it looked.

The boy with dog, girl with piglet, boy with rope and girl with bucket are all from the farm range 1970 to end of 1974. They appear to have replaced the younger figures from the Britains 'Folk' boxed set that was deleted at end of 1969

It has been awhile since i updated my collection on here. The collection is growing steadily.

the boxed vicon mower is a gift of a acquaintance. He has a toyshop. His parents in law used to own it and sold Britains. This mower was tucked away in the back of the shop. Also bought a full shopbox with sheepdogs and a nice complete box with wattle hurdles complete with the complaint slip.
