super6
A simple child's toy, the Britains/Tomy "Farm in a Box" JD 30 series( not marked) has a wide fixed front axle, to enable fitment of loader presumably, no glazing and a simple ring tow hitch. Mostly made of plastic with metal bonnet and half shaft housings, Tyres are realistic though. The trailer is a recycled Ertl item and the livestock may be too! idea is quite clever with nothing being thrown away, even the outer wrapper is used as part of the base. There is another set 47019A with a basic Case tractor along the same lines as the JD although this comes with the latter incarnation of the Atcost barn/livestock shed and again presumably Ertl livestock Edited January 11, 2021 by super6
Udimore
This set has done more carpet hours at Udimore Farm than any other for past ...lost count the years, Our youngest loves it although the 5000 and 6600 have to assist Personally i think its a great concept for the tiny ones
justy 46
it's great for the carpet farmer..But that Deere 30 Series is a real toy ..End off . I think even a young fussy carpet farmer would not bother with it.

Might be good to have a new silage trailer. So many too choose from. Do we get to know more about 2021 releases with the London Toy Fair cancelled this month ?

mb86
I’ve just see this on faceslap. Not sure if it’s already on here but some info on this years heritage releases.
hody21
Thanks for the pictures and info. If that's it I think its a very poor show. Hardly heritage models are they. Disappointed to say the least. For me as a collector all these re-releases really peeve me off, it takes the fun out of collecting.
CX820Joe
Implements are a bit thin on the ground this year so far aren't they? That bale lifter will probably be quite handy but is that it?
robbo
I remember our local Toymaster closing down and they were selling off the JD 4020 for £6 each. I did buy some thinking that I might be able to make a profit on them but I barely broke even, can't see them selling too well this time around either
justy 46
Yeah agree..Them JD 4020s are a pure waste off time. There is no demand for them .
Tractorman810
i guess we are paying the price of covid now , they cant get out to measure stuff for new items, go to the makers for stuff ,the factories in china are poss closed or limited production ,i suspect the amount being sold has dropped , due to redundancies ect , so less cash to invest in new products, the list soon stacks up, given the prices the jds and ford 6600 make from the last lot, why not pump a few out , they have put a £5 on each as they weren't 30 quid last time out, but it raises cash ,do agree mind the 4020 was only good for 2wd front axels , but i sadly i suspect we are in for a few years of this now , as it will take time for everything to recover.
Stabliofarmer
As Sean says some small amount of this si going to be down to the old corona. I read last week a comment from a big model shop)/company which was 'this is the year of the re-run'. Suggesting to me that across the board its being seen as very difficult to develop and deliver a new product. After all it involves alot of back and forth in discussions, prototype checking and more. While issuing a re-run is, on paper, as simple as ringing the factory up and asking for a repeat of order XYZ etc. Personally I think there's a good selection there. An E27N hasn't been available as a low price model since the 50's. I look forward to seeing some detailled prototype photos to see what they've gone with front axle and wheel wise. The two jcb's are good products for those actually buying Britains as toys, so much playability in them, and 7 year old me would have gone straight to them on a shelf in a shop. The tracked 1cx is a clever use of existing castings. The Ford and Deeres where an obvious approach and arguably shouldn't have been dropped from the catalogue in the first place. The 'Chaser' models in the E27N set is interesting, and I wonder if it will catch on across the range.
CX820Joe
Despite lack of implements, at least there's chance for folks to get some of the older models without paying a fortune on ebay. I am interested in the big Case - though smuggling in the house may be an issue. I'd quite like to see the NC dump trailer and Muck spreader in different colours too. 1

watermill
What a disappointment. Still no arable kit Why do Britains need to be doing Fendt and a xerion. And the IH case, really? I know it’s been covid year but surely they can still access an implement or tractor in the open air? yawn yawn yawn Britains. Come on you conversion and scratch build specialists the floor is yours, take your opportunity to deliver relevant quality because mainstream can’t manage it. 4
Popular Post hody21
I recently bought the new Burego Valtra of Ebay, and I have to say I am very impressed. For the price of £15 plus P&P Britain's should be a little worried. All that's needed is a compatible hitch and a front linkage that goes up and down and you will have a very impressive model. Its heavy and far more detailed than Britain's of late. Comes in a dealer box too. Burego also made a Newholland a little while back which was also a very good replica of the real machine. If Britains are aiming there toys at children with a average price of a tractor now nudging £30 when this Valtra is around £15 then goodluck to them. I am not Britain's bashing as I have a lot of time for them but they really need to get with it and decide which direction they need/want to go in. Just my opinion.

I had a look at that too, it's got better looking rear wheels than the precision Ros version!

For the money you really cant go wrong. The build quality is on par with Britains if a little better, the paint quality certainly is. Whilst it has a rear 3 point linkage it doesn't move and just has a hook to tow a trailer with. It steers too. All for £15 or less.

hody21
At last something new (ish). Not the most popular and why something so big, Now they appear to have the Fleming franchise ( blue bale lifter with Fleming stickers ) it would have been nice to see one of there silage trailers made, more suitable for most farmers. Would be interested in seeing the final product though. Any news on anything else new.
