How many loader hitches do we think there are?

Just doing a little pondering for some new little kit ideas. How many different mounting systems are there out there for loadalls and front loaders from the different model manufactures? 

I'm not a huge collector so don't see many different models. Do britains maintain a standard? Or is everything different, for example will old tm310 attachments fit a new tm?

The more expensive manufacturers like wiking will use something close to real life I imagine?

All the attachments I’ve got to fit the tm310 and Wiking loaders don’t fit in the tm420 annoyingly, Britain’s have made the pins narrower on it, 

Wiking loaders are very close to the real euro attachment

I ain't sure ether. The older vintage Britains as we all know were kept the same e.g  the 9574 Farmland front loader , Sanderson forklift and JCB 520 loadall. Alot as changed sence after Ertl stepped in. Can the attachments from a NH T6 with loader fit a a JCB TM 310 ??

Didn't Siku once upon a time try to maintain some sort of standard so they could then sell the attachment packs? JD 6820 era.

Older UH attachments were fixed on were they not?

They there were the batch of afterthought Britains loaders. as in, "we need a loader, here is something that looks like a loader, Quick bore a few holes in the chassis"

*Had a quick look through the farm model database. looks like these were used around 2000, mainly on Case IH, MF and NH. Interesting there is a Valmet 115 city with one that looks rather comical.

loader mounts I can think of without digging out the examples:-

Ertl JD 3350 (the Slide on head stock)

JCB/Sanderson/detachable loader headstock of the 90's

Britains JD telehandlers

JCB farm masters. no idea if the latest ones are the same?

2012 JD 6125R  front loader ( I assume they have kept that type going?)

Are the 2010 onwards loadalls the same as anything else.

 

The Siku loader that is suitable for the attachment kits.

The attachments on the Britains Loadall 550 and TM310 were interchangeable and they will also fit the later 542 Loadall, but the muck grab and bucket off that possibly wont fit the TM310.  As Ben says the TM420 has a different system again, but it looks better with the bucket and the grab than the 542 does.  

The Case Farmlift and New Holland LM7.42 (and current TH7.42) have a different system again, but it is possible to remove the part that is meant to be the guard off the pallet forks to reveal the actual carriage for this type of handler.  Will add a photo in another post as will need to find it.

Ros had the simplest system with their Merlos where the attachments just hooked on, though they weren't always the tightest fit.  That Dieci pivot handler they did was a different story though with a very fiddly bar to secure the attachments on! 

Siku attachment doesn't look great but you can attach anything to any machine, from the largest JCB 435 to the recent Manitou skid steer!

I've located the Britains New Holland, so here are a few photos to explain what I was wittering on about above.  Apologies if they dont appear in the right order.  

They should show the models attachment system as 'out of the box', then the carriage as it should look, then the pallet forks and guard removed, and finally an image of a real LM7.42 for comparison.

Thank you all for taking the time to reply, it certainly seems to have opened up a rabbit warren of systems! 

 

Will have to do some pondering as to what the best option of kit attachments would be.

Just make a brand new headstock that fits nothing else but your own things, Actively encourage industry wide adoption.

Once complete remember to alter the headstock just enough that nothing previous created fits. Claim a 2% efficiency increase in the 'snap satisfaction' and fail to mention the change.

If anyone asks, the 20% price increase represents best in breed value as recommended by the subsidiary of the Joint venture of the marketing outsourcer.

Follow this and you will have an industry standard part.....

Bonuses all around if you accomplish this while keeping the part number the same!

Hahaha, love it.

But all joking aside you may well be onto something with a new headstock design. Much easier to chop an old headstock on and glue a new one in its place than faff around creating ever form of adapter under the sun.
